What are the requirements to enter Indonesia?
Upon arrival in Indonesia you will need to purchase a Visa on Arrival (VoA).
Duration: 30 days, with the possibility of extension for another 30 days
Cost: approximately IDR 500,000 (≈ €30)
You can also apply for the e-VOA online between 14 and 2 days before departure.
2
What do you need to travel?
Travel insurance with medical coverage, including COVID-19, is mandatory. Many credit cards offer coverage for short trips.
We strongly recommend adding cancellation coverage.
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date.
You also need a return or onward ticket. Some airlines won't let you board without one.
We are not responsible for missing documents or flight changes. We recommend choosing refundable flights.
3
Is it safe to travel to Bali?
Yes, Bali is a safe and welcoming destination.
Although it is part of a developing country and has volcanic areas, it is one of the most visited and loved islands by travellers.
We've lived in Indonesia for a long time and have never felt unsafe. It's just a matter of using a little common sense, especially in crowded places.
4
What if my flights don't match my travel dates?
No problem! If you'd like to arrive early or stay a few extra days, we're happy to help you arrange extra nights. Bali has so much to offer, so take advantage of it!
5
What is the currency and how much money to bring?
The local currency is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR).
Some meals are not included: expect to pay around IDR 250,000–350,000 per meal (€15–20).
We recommend that you have approximately €200 (IDR 3,800,000) in cash with you.
If you don't change your currency in advance, we can arrange a stop at a reputable currency exchange during the transfer.
6
Where does my flight land?
The destination airport is Denpasar (DPS), Bali.
7
Recommended vaccinations?
Recommended: tetanus, typhoid, hepatitis A and B.
The yellow fever vaccine is only required if you are arriving from countries where yellow fever is present (e.g. Africa or South America).
Always check the latest information on viaggiaresicuri.it .
8
Where can I find travel insurance?
Emergency health insurance is mandatory for travel.
Many banks or credit cards include coverage.
Check that surfing is included in your policy.
Trip cancellation coverage is highly recommended.
